Thurmond Consulting Group (TCG) was founded by Mark Thurmond, a seasoned financial professional with entrepreneurial, corporate, and consulting experience spanning more than 30 years.

The organization was formed by Mark to focus on his passion for developing financial models for small to medium sized businesses using the best Cloud based modeling tools available. The concept is to take the needs of the organization – the way they think about their business – and translate them into a functional financial model for budgeting, forecasting and scenario planning. This allows the customer to plan and manage their business based on accurate financial projections. The customer should spend their time analyzing the projected results and related impact on their business rather than on maintaining a budgeting and forecasting tool. The tool must generate full financial statements by business segment, dashboard metrics, and detailed expense and revenue calculations all within a rolling budget/forecast that can be centralized or decentralized. Mark brings his experience, process analysis abilities, and knowledge of industry best practices to bear on each engagement.

Mark has proven leadership and deep customer relationship management abilities. In his 30+ year professional career, Mark has gained extensive experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, business consulting, process analysis, facilitation and training, strategic planning, and system implementations. Mark’s very strong process focus lends itself to problem solving and project management. TCG is always focused on doing what is right for the customer in each specific situation.

Previously Mark co-founded InnoVergent, a business and technology consulting firm specializing in cloud based financial products and consulting. Prior to that, Mark was a consultant with The North Highland Company. He has also been a Consulting Manager for Computer Language Research and a Product Manager for EDS. He began his career at Georgia Power Company as an Accounting and Financial Analyst.

Mark has an MBA with a concentration in Finance from Georgia State University and a BA in Accounting from the University of South Florida.
